Querty 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2010 Hihi Can anyone recommend or have any experience with any mover who has expertise in moving vintage/antique furniture please? Coz for those movers that i see so far, many of them don't seem to have any real experience in moving vintage/antique furniture. Handling these kind of furniture requires special care and protection. If they r damaged while moving, no amount of sincere apologies or money can compensate for the loss. Also, i observed that a no. of their workers are either inexperienced or teenagers. Not any ordinary kind of mover will do here. Thank you very much.
patsy_sg 1 Report post Posted June 28, 2010 I would recommend Elite movers. I had a few antique pieces that they moved for me (twice!!) and very impressed with them both times
Querty 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2010 (edited) Thanks very much! Anyway, was the quotation reasonable? Is the overall service good? Finding out about this mover. Does anyone have any good/not-so-good experience with this mover as well? I would recommend Elite movers. patsy_sg 1 Report post Posted June 29, 2010 For me I found the service reasonable, 2 large trucks came and packed all my stuff within 2 hours (well packed, my antiques packed wrapped in cardboard plus shrink wrap), and all unpacked within 2 hours also (put my big and heavy items where I want them to go). They are slightly more expensive than normal, but I would rather have paid that little extra for peace of mind. I think some of the people here may have other experiences so it may be a good idea for you to search the forum. But for me, I have used them 5 times in the last 4 years and am very happy with them.
