dexufto 5 Report post Posted January 4, 2011 Thanks BlurRhino. We are haooy to achieve the intended purpose; moden and comfy. Your house look very comfy to stay in lo! Congrats to the completion of your reno and your coming wedding ya! Oic oic, my hob+hood combi was about $500+ from electrolux; Froggy suggested buying those dummy cakes; maybe it could fit the stove taps? oh crap...i wasn't around when they opened the box. They probably either threw them away or mine dun hv. I dun remember seeing it, though i saw the box. i'm not using a Rinnai hob though. Too ex for me. I took the Fujioh combo. My reno has been completed oredi and i've oredi moved in, though now still doing rectification works. Tiler just did some work today (oops, yesterday 03/01) and painter coming tmr (04/01). hopefully, he'll be the last and den tt's it. hey, why don't you post it here to share with us your prized finished work? Ought to look nice i didnt notice the similarity earlier, but nw tt "lazybum9" mentions it, i realised tt the colours i used in my kitchen is exactly the same as urs, dex bro. white, black wif tt brown wood grain. except tt in my case, the floor is white, one side's cabinet is totally white, and the other side is mainly black, wif a few panels in the wood grain laminate..... Thanks fellow TYP-ian. Yea, the ikea smell still lingers, I got quite a no of gd deals from the christmas offers Yea, I'm still hunting for the door-closer; but the unit gotta be those slim version. Still waiting for the dorr contractor to reply. Thanks for the reminder swee... now ur living room reeks heavily of the ikea smell? suggestion, maybe u want to install automatic door closer on ur main door, cos if not careful one big swing can shatter ur sliding glass.... Oh yea Gimz, no hurry. Will get it done in due time. My (lady) friends commented they love the mirror panel at the TV console, they get to check on themselves before leaving home. heh. very nice!! aren't u going to get a huge mirror for your WIW area? lazybum9 1 Report post Posted January 4, 2011 I take that as a kind compliment. thanks lazybum9 Colour selection is from wtb. She like subtle wood grains and it turned a lot better than we expected. it will be idea if the laminate grain would be symmetricial all the way, the 'flow' effect will turn out better. Have you concluded your kitchen cabinets colours/ laminates? not yet...still waiting to get key to see see my new place...i plan to re-laminate the kitchen cabinets + wardrobe cos i don't like the given light grey laminate... but not sure if can laminate over existing laminate so gotta ask contractor when show him house to quote...my initial thoughts was white + red but now seeing yours, will consider white + brown... dexufto 5 Report post Posted January 4, 2011 Fujioh's a gd brand as well, remembered lachesis commented that it specialise in it's hood. Yea, a basic Electrolux set. Oh I remember the Rinnai inner flame thingy, that alone can set both my set liaoz. oh? ur's is Electrolux? the hob looked like the famous Rinnai inner flame hob. the silvery edges wif the glass top. oinkoink1999, let me guess, you are born on the year of the pig? else, it's gotta do with 1999. oh yea, are you refering to the the white thingy on the black backsplash with the towel roll on the left edge? it's the wall mount kitchen towel holder from Leifheit It's really a useful kitchen aid. get them from hogamas for 30 bucks only. robinson's gng at 55 bucks! Hi dexufto, your kitchen cabinet color combination is rare but looks good. I saw something on yr kitchen roll..looks like a set...do u have a closer view pic? wat actually us that huh? oinkoink Hi may_dream1, most door manufacturer would carry a door closer; contat just to name one of them. just that i'm sourching for a really slim one.. Will keep you posted nevertheless. do let me know if you get a good deal. i also need a auto door closer.
dexufto 5 Report post Posted January 4, 2011 I'm sure that can be done, an overlay over the previous ones and throw in some soft-close dampers from ikea (3 for $7) there you have; a retrofitted kitchen cabinet. Haha, that's a good thing about forums and decor magazines. You get inspirations from them and never imgine that this combi is possible or would look so gd. Do you have a colour theme? It's best to capture from real deal rather than 3Ds rendering, the real thing would usually turn out slightly different. my 2-cents. not yet...still waiting to get key to see see my new place...i plan to re-laminate the kitchen cabinets + wardrobe cos i don't like the given light grey laminate... but not sure if can laminate over existing laminate so gotta ask contractor when show him house to quote...my initial thoughts was white + red but now seeing yours, will consider white + brown...
