ne0mesis 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2010 thanks alot for e advice! appreciate it. for e study/relax area vs dining area: yup we've tot bout doin wad ya say before too but we decided to place more emphasis on e study/relax area cos we'll most prob spend more time there than dining.. so we still decided to hav more focus on tt area. & we got a rotating tv fr MBR to study/relax area where we can use our laptops and watch tv at e same time.. =) if only we have an even larger space den we can hav best of both worlds! haha kitchen: yep considering ur advice and see how it goes =) toilet: our toilet is really VVVVVVVVVVV small.. even aft bring e vanity out we hav problems fixing a shower screen and toilet bowl into e original toilet space.. welcome. my lousy 2 cents views anyway. haha jus hope to share only sounds like yr original plan is thoroughly thought through already. gd for you huh... like how the previous owner did it then? booksntoys 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2010 yup, its right beside e expressway. urs are the slightly newer flats? Those newer flats that we were keen were asking for around $530k to $580k, way to ex. Mine is also 20+ years but 2 blocks from the MRT.
booksntoys 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2010 (edited) no shower screen.. when u bathe, water will spray all over e toilet bowl and wet e whole toilet.. 1 word: SMALL! The space for our common toilet shower area was super narrow too. So we have to move the door to further right. Gotta hack & erect some parts of the wall to move the door. The only 5room layout that comes with big toilets are those units directly facing west sun; the corridor with only 2 units (4rm w/o corridor windows & 5rm) Edited July 30, 2010 by booksntoys
Doomsday 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2010 Very innovative and daring design I must say! Can't wait to see how it turns out. Agree though that the vanity top outside the toilet may spoil your parquet floor eventually due to the constant exposure to moisture. Perhaps extending the Master Toilet may be a better option. Our tiling will be finished by this week too Edited August 3, 2010 by booksntoys
