Joining The Expanding Simei Neighbourhood

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

A little background on ourselves.

- We're a young couple (nt so young actually) waiting to get married June 2011.

- We've gotten our Simei 5 rm resale keys on June 15th 2010.

- We've already engaged our ID/contractor - Henry fr ID-Note.

For this, we've approached various ID/contractor before finally deciding. These included Ideal Design, Sky Creations, Plush Living(Darren), Summit Design, In.Plan, DX Interior(Edmund), Tau Interior, + a few more which i cant remem. oh and of course, ID-Note (Henry).

Nothing much to share regarding the process except it was pretty **** tedious! Probably the few gd pts we wanted to bring up was from Plush Living, Summit Design, IDNote, DX interior.

These were the 4 IDs/contractors we were pretty much comfortable with and shortlisted and finally decided upon from.

Summit Design gave us a pretty good impression but unfortuantely, their quote tended to be higher than the rest.

DX Interior - Nice and friendly guy who on the dot provided us with his quote (he said before 2359 and it was sent on 2359). Pretty much was our final decision between him and Henry. But we were more confident with Henry after seeing the various works on renotalk.

Darren from plush was pretty good and we went into pretty deep discussions. We were pretty much decidin upon him or Henry. Unfortunately, he had a surgery durin the final phases of our decision making and fate had it we din hav to think too much then.

Henry, IDNote - Cheerful character. Frank with his inputs and had a reasonably good quote. Came with high recommendations fr Supersimon (yea we PM-ed you if you recall.) pretty comfortable chatting with him although we did have to push abit to get his quote.

We also saw the recent issues fr fencer but we were still pretty confident about Henry so yup, we signed with him!

Did I already mention we're neighbours to jeffcraze(although its a diff. lift la)? pretty coincidental, lotsa Simei pple here doin reno!

First of all, 2D plan:

- Extended the vanity area out of the toilet w a couple sink! no need to snatch basins! separated to bed by half wall half glass partition.

- Feature wall to separate foyer area and living.

- half height shoe cabinet

- U-shaped kitchen separated by a half wall/half glass divided to dining area.

- Laminates in e 2 bedrooms, WIW, and study area.

- Tiles all other areas

will follow up these with drawings of e various areas..
