can share what are some mistakes of the first reno? are they design issues?

So strange.... why aren't the pictures showing up. When I uploaded them, I could see them. Hm....

First reno was basically a rush job. Shoddy workmanship. The kitichen cabinet doors were not aligned properly even after they were rectified. The solid surface for kitchen cabinet, you can see lots of scratches and even a crack at the cooking hob area. When the 2nd ID came to see, was shaking her head and said this is the first time she has seen a crack in solid surface. The skirting in the living room started falling off. The laminated flooring was crappy material compared to what I have now. In the first place, I didn't want laminated flooring in both bedrooms but the ID went ahead and did it. He said it was our fault that we never said. We went `huh?!' cos we informed him from the beginning and stupidly trusted him when he didn't change his contract. Chipped off 2 of the kitchen floor tiles, when we asked to change, ID said cannot cos will affect the other tiles, blah, blah, blah. His tiling guy just came, put a similar colour cement or something to patch up but can see it is obviously patched up.

In the end, we stopped asking him to send people to rectify cos every time they come, we spent hours cleaning up cos they make a mess of the place.
