thanks simplez and strawberry8

I will take note.

seriously, I never seen people boxing up aircon trunking. It is expensive n not so effective in my opinion because you can just paint over the trunking. When there is leakage, need to remove box up. In addition, also troublesome if u decided to replace trunking.

boxing up is to beautify the place. but also causes problems in future if pipes are leaking or needs to be replaced.

I have a friend who find the air con trunking running from her bedroom to the toilet very eyesore and she get it box-up.

I guess it is up to individual preferences.

If condensation take place then it will damage the box-up. Do make sure the air con man do a good insulation.

Hi Simplez

Has good insulation anything to do with Class0 and Class 1? What do they refer to? I am so lost in these aircon tech terms. Pls help!

the class rating of insulation actually refers to the fire retardation. class 0 insulation is actually more resistant to fire as compared to class 1. no difference in insulation properties. at least that is what i was told
