I'll be going tmr nite, but won't be participating in the competition. Juz going to be audience and enjoy the show and atmosphere! Yup, csingeu is also on RT! How's the progress on your house? Yes, that, alongside training, was what was keeping me from coming online. All the shifting in, etc... my house is steadily becoming messier, and I'm longing for the days where there was absolutely NOTHING in the house! But too bad, unless I one day have so much money that I can buy a huge house where I can keep most rooms empty (hey, one can always dream)... in the meantime, my house will just have to serve its function as the place where Pinkhubby and I keep all our stuff.Pardon the messiness, we are still unpacking...Let's start with the foyer<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v521/yuene/Renovation/Foyerwcabinetandseating.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />The shoe cabinet is in. We put it in the corner there because 1) behind the door, it keeps getting whacked. I don't want to cause a dent on my new things so soon! The seating bench next to it is actually one of our old pieces of furniture from IKEA. It served as our old TV/PC bench when the PC was still outside. Yes, the gas cylinder issue has been rectified, along with the pull-out basket. Needless to say, it's already messy. We're going to get one more item from IKEA here, which is a white cabinet above. I'm very mindful of overloading that shelf. I got my study table at *drumroll* IKEA! Yes, of all places, it just had to be from there. How's it holding up? Pretty alright, I would say. Not exactly the best material (for obvious reasons), but it's functional, and it looks presentable. Plus, it's nice and long, to hold pinkhubby's nonsense.My contractor was excellent. I would say in terms of design, you might want to get another guy, but in terms of responsibility and promptness, and value for money, Edmund is among the best. Do be a little wary of his electrician though, he doesn't do that great a job in terms of straightness of the laying of the trunking, but otherwise they have done a great job for my place. The original plan was to locate it in the other toilet, but we realised that there was not enough space...So in the end I decided to put it outside. I got mine from Sim Siang Choon for about $78? I can't quite remember the price. But they do have a (albeit) limited range of sinks designed to fit into corners of bathrooms.
