Hi Everyone

I think the time has come for me to start a blog of my own!! YAY

Ours is an EA in Sengkang. Here's the floorplan..

Here's what we plan to do..

It's gonna be a major reno..

we're planning to do the following:

1. partition at foyer with half height shoe cabinet (diff foyer tiles)
2. dark laminate **** hall¹ throughout the house
3. cozy corner at balcony decided to keep balcony as is. create a cool arty farty hangout for me and hubby.. hope it works out well!
4. feature wall with console
5. full height mirrors (hubby's must have)
6. conceal shelter door
7. tile dining area
8. kitchen
9. service yard
10. bathrooms

Right now we're still searching for an ID/contractor.

Actually until Saturday, we had sort of decided that we are going to choose Contractor "A". Then one of our other shortlisted IDs (lets call them ID "B") came back to us with a revised quote that was attractive enough to make us confused!!!

Contractor A:

+ Good reputation

+ Been doing renovation for a long time, so very experienced

+ Not pushy

+ Reasonably priced

+ Offers practical advice

- Does not offer design advice

ID B

+ Offers design advice

+ Very friendly and easy to talk to

+ Reasonably priced

- Have not read any reviews about their work

- Relatively new company

I feel comfortable with Contractor A cos i've read alot of reviews about him.. On the other hand, i do like ID B. Very easy to talk to and she offers good design advice so we don't need to crack our heads too much

So now i'm very confused

which part of Sengkang are you guys from? I really like the peace and quiet of Sengkang.. never thought I'd be living in this part of Singapore but i think i'm gonna love it. Can't wait to move in!!

haha...me at anchorvale, froggy at fernvale. there are more like Professor, 15may etc. If u like peace n quiet then it's the correct place to be lor. I lived here for the past 8 years and I like the quiet surrounding, jus that I had to get used of having lessor neighbourhood shops as compared to my mum's place at Yishun.
