Toilet Drainage

my common toilet only have one drainage. and that's in between the WC and the basin.

is there a way to fix it so my shower area is not flooded? shower area is next to WC. TIA! :bath:

my common bath also have this problem. but the tiler actually installed another floor trap in the shower area to drain water away.. will take pics tml or friday after the tiling is done. now is all cement screed so cannot take photos.

i wonder where the water goes to since the tiler fitted another floor trap for you. so i will have to depend on your pics, okie!! thanks so much, wolflet!

Build a kerb around the shower area. Raise the level of the shower cubicle, just enough to fit a elbow+ pipe to bring the waste water to the floortrap.

it looks like ive to raise quite a height for this. hmmm :unsure:

my shower area is actually lower than the rest of the bathroom. but still managed to get a floor trap. today they were doing tiling, unable to take pics.. will go up and take tomorrow

im unable to take photos for now. my place is basically no entry until the flooring is done. :D

but i spoke to my ID. the secondary floor trap is called ping pong cover or something. talk to the contractors and they should know about it

managed to find a spare 1 lying around in my house.. managed to take pictures of it and also the installed floor trap.

Ping pong cover ? sure looks like paddlers bat.

This is not through hole trap, it simply channel water to the main trap.

Which means you need at least 1 inch of drain pipe gradient (slope) for water to flow.

Not forgeting the ping pong cover height. So, that a lot of height to raise

Check the main trap if there is enough depth. Pipe cannot go below the water proof membrance also. By the way, mine was done since I hack the whole floor.

Don't forget to request for stainless steel cover. They will look nice with your stainless steel

toilet accessories :)

really, thats quiet alot of height to raise. im discussing the reno with the contractors. i hope all is going to be well. will start the ball rolling next week! bless me!!
