missyrisc 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2010 (edited) Hmm how about blue mosaic tiles for the shower area, white epoxy painted walls for the rest, and a faux wood tile floor? That should hit closer to the inspiration that you loved. Yeah mosaic tiles did cross our minds, though we didn't choose it knowing how tedious it was going to be when it come to cleaning. Thanks for suggesting! Edited June 15, 2010 by missyrisc
missyrisc 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2010 The Creation of a Love Nest I am posting new pictures to update on the creation of our love nest. Every journey was peppered with the reasonable doubts and compromise. Mr and Mrs K were glad that they did not engage anyone they know for projects like so. It is better to engage someone that we do not know personally; because in this way demands can be easily vocalised. Here are a few updates and pictures: Doors have been changed. It is amazing how the changing of doors can change the whole look of the house. The classic doors added a touch of classic to our apartment and complemented the cornices. The Kitchen stripped bare. We are going to change the handles of all the cabinets The previous owner left this fridge for us to keep. We are going to use this fridge for a while (due to budget constraint) but we would need to make this a little "prettier". I am still trying to think of a way to do that.Any ideas? Tiles have been laid. Ugly white pipes still stand. These will be painted in black to act as a design feature. Can't wait for this to happen.
missyrisc 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2010 Ceiling fan in the guest room has no lampshades anymore. we will need to get some shades for it... We will need to install a glassdoor between the living room and kitchen to facilitate aircon efficiency. Last minute realisation resulted some additional cost to the quote. This is the chalkboard spot in the kitchen. We are going to paint the door and the covering above in blackboard paint. That's all folks! Any ideas on how to make the fridge look "prettier"?
