hi hi, sorry was out in teh countryside over the weekend and didn't get a chance to let you know.. the knife block is Euro 69 (less about 10% for tax). It has the space for the cleaver.

LOL!! Thanks for the invitation...*shyshy* Now, I can only use my small small oven to bake. Looking at the space I have, a build in oven is confirm a nono... Am comptempleting whether to get those conventional baking oven or the all in one microwave oven. *headache*

Maple tree chopping board. Should at least last for a decade :D

pardon my suaku-ness. what is the wood oil for?

It's to maintain the condition of the wood. And also to provide an extra layer of protection especially when cutting meat and fish.

btw its 1 1/4" right not 1 1/2"? does the board come with handgrips by the side?

Yup, it's 1 1/4". If i remember correctly it doesn't have handgrips.

I saw the cherry board, it's very nice but the price is a bit steep >$200. I think those are for hardcore fans.

I just get the medium one :)

Wait until you see the other kind of chopping board, it would be more expensive.

Alternatively, you can opt for smaller size one also.
