Yup, it's 1 1/4". If i remember correctly it doesn't have handgrips. I saw the cherry board, it's very nice but the price is a bit steep >$200. I think those are for hardcore fans. I just get the medium one oh. I learn something new. but, very ex lei! Wait until you see the other kind of chopping board, it would be more expensive.
