I feel reasonable not expensive? May i know is quote from deisgn firm or contractor?

Mine is almost 30k but without build in wardrobe for 3 bedroom, fixture wall , tv console and whole house rewiring , aircon ,D8 & B7also.

Some electricians tends to quote in lump sum for whole hse re-wiring. There's nothin wrong as in the early time, we don't itemize electrical pricing. The 'elders' ain't so calculative until the 'trendy' generation improvised to itemize qutoations for all items to make it more competitive & 'transparent...

*In HDB flats, most no. of wirings, power pts, tel pts, TV pts etc r quite standard... Its best to clarify the amount of pts u're limited to...

The quote is definately from a contractor, u may ask for final discount of maybe maximum of 1.4k & close this deal.... I trust the best price is abt 38.5k...

Squeezing the contractor pricing = cracking contractors' brain to cut cost, or maybe 'hum tam' u at the additional works etc... lol

Don't need for others to think. U've already committed to his services and also work is already started, even if the price is too much, what can u do? The purpose of writting in this thread and other threads seem to me like u r trying to promote his service. Since u said he is good and hardworking, even paying him a price is consider reasonable. Moreover, this is not your 1st time engaging his services.

Hi just to clear your doubt and not be hurl accusations.i only confirmed with him regarding my tiling.The reason i am posting is so thhat i am able to find cheaper quotes for carpentery and electrical which i only told him to quote but will get back to him soon.For my own house i only did tiling and painting from him and that cost me over 10k.I HAVE READ THROUGH THIS FORUM BEFORE I WANNA POST ANYTHING.Shall i take pics for u to understand what i am saying.And I AM ONLY TRYING TO SAVE MONEY FOR MY MUM! Cheap doesn't mean good and good don't come cheap. If u think that sourcing for cheaper quote to save some money will in term give u the same quality material and workmanship of work then u r really wrong in thinking this way. Who don't want cheap and good here? But is there such good thing in the 1st place not? If u want a cheaper quote for carpentry, u can just buy a ST, see the classified section and look for those $45pfr cabinet, don't even need to ask around. And if u really read throught this forum before posting, then u should jolly well know the price of other forumers ID/contractor quotations. And u are the one who mislead others first, by not stating clearly that he only do tiling for u and your mum, and now u want to compare his quote on carpentry and electrical only. So who to blame? By posting so big on everything then ask for advise which u already engaged his services, who will not think this way. There are just too many self advertise ID/contractor ard here.

If u think I don't understand what u r saying, and yes indeed I'm. Cos in the first place if u were to state more clearly and instead on his wet work pricing, just ask for comparasion on carpentry and electrical quote, then its totally different story.

To compare on carpentry work, we need to compare apple with apple, thats mean same design, same material and same workmanship. Others can give u cheaper quote by providing same design, same material but china workers. Or made in malaysia factory then bring it over here to install or same design but different material and so for.....so most really can't compare the pricing of carpentry, mostly from the price, I can only said it cheap.

Yup i have gone to his factory and seen my mum's products being done its 18mm thick and she is getting Jennings Walnut outline laminates with brass handles.Cant wait for it to be done and i stucked to the same guy and electrical disc was given to us.
