well, as quoted from a salesperson i sorta befriend with, electronics have their own promos and discounts all along. so sometimes they jus ride along the gss hype. nt jus gss only.

the very proverbial ones that you would hear in tis forum would be places from

aik leong (alexandra), kong tai (jurong), everjoint (amk) , goh ah bee (hougang) - they're usually at shophouses with not many appliances inside. jus give them the model no and they will give you the pricing. of course, you can nego the final pricing with them.

otherwise, the better "negotiable" departmental stores would be places like

audiohouse (liang court), MEGA (Kallang Leisure Park) and harvey norman (which seems to be the case frm wat i gather frm tis forum. their extended warranties are also attractive if i'm nt wong)

anywayz, i suggest you should try do some homework to have in mind what you want first for the house and then some groundworks to find out the general pricing or best pricing and find one shop to match all the items. definitely takes time but tat's what i did.

am working on a thread to share my selection process for my major applicances for the house

wil update in my signature and you can have a look at my list and see it helps you to lighten your research ya

my 1 cent view.

hope it helps
