vermilion 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2010 (edited) hi honeygal, i have a 3rm flat too!! http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?au...blogid=209& thought you started your reno? saw your blog... everything suppose to be done by him, but till now no finalized quotation, job done halfway le. your blog is worrying me... electrical is definitely ex, cos i have quotation for $30 installation of each chandelier whereas his is $50. the quote from other electrical is still bargainable. my chandeliers were bought from china. vermilion 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2010 hi honeygal, got the revised quote fr patrick le... its around my budget leh but electrical is still a little more ex than my other quotes. anyway, yours got hacking and laying of tiles, my house, got hacking but its carpentry only and no laying of tiles, so cant compare. further more, my floor is laminate, that is, overlay onto my tiles. so i save some money... but you know, to engage a reliable contractor to do your tiles is important! my previous house took me more than 3 months and work done is ok only... book cabinet warped... wardrobe door knob broken and i dont know how to fix it! tried digging out to find a replacement and cant! nice to took at but not functional at all! wats the point...? whereas my parents house, a nice job done. esp the kitchen & living room cabinet. beautiful hobee is quite strong in their carpentry. this time, gave them some challenging stuff to do... Amy Choon 1 Report post Posted June 4, 2010 hi merydith, thanks for sharing... yup can understand the pain. but i guess i'm not worried about the spill... my house is kids-proof! its so small that i cant afford to have kids running around. imagine 861sqft, 2 floor so each is only 461, minus off space for the spiral staircase and huge store room that is 2m x 1.2m!! erm, sometimes not only kids spill things wor... but i guess you just have to be extra careful. cos the fabric sofa you looking at sure look plush lor (mean ex).. kekeke.. since you only bake, then don't worry la. it's the oily cooking that will be a problem.
