I will only renovate on Hall, MBR, 2 bathrooms and kitchen due to budget constraints. We will buy furniture from Ikea for study and baby's room. This is "mummychen" here as my hubby has been too busy to update~ Just a little background on us, we are parents-to-be and expecting our first child (bb girl) in two weeks' time! So in the meantime, we will keep this updated till the lil one pops! Today is the first day of our reno. The entire kitchen, master and common bathroom, living room floor tiles will be hacked. Here's the confirmed 3D design of our living room: (Forgot to take the BEFORE pictures, have asked our nice contractor to take it for us... Will post it when we receive them!) daddychen 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2010 (edited) Selected our wall tiles from White Horse. 1) Wall tiles for the master bathroom: We will only be using this design as the feature wall. The rest of the walls will be in white glossy tiles. Floor tiles are in dark grey. Initially, we wanted our bathroom to be dark. Dark walls, white floor tiles. But after much discussion, we find that our bathroom is already so small, it will look very cramped & uncomfortable if we were to use too much dark colors. 2) Wall tiles for the common bathroom: Also for only one side of the bathroom as a feature. We feel that this design looks quite cheerful especially for kids & even our guests in future. Floor tiles will be in white with some "sparkly" effect. Wondering if we should cover the whole feature wall with this tile, or only two rows of it? Will it be too "over"?
