I stay at 3rd floor and there is a big fire directly below my void deck and smoke when into our flat which just renovated. And my wall paint colour all are damage but luckly got home insurance to protect our home content and manage to replace new painted wall with the same brand and colour. bepgof 20 Report post Posted June 27, 2010 (edited) Yes Home insurances are in fact quite complicated in nature, many thanks should go to gov's afforts in providing/maintaining a sound & safe environments, and also to the Heaven. Appreciate if anyone can share their experience on the following areas as to HOME: - against theft - against flood - against fire (most common & must for HDB) - against earthquake Edited June 27, 2010 by bepgof

therat 18 Report post Posted June 28, 2010 once a agent told me If the policy insurance is 60k and the damage amount come to 80k. I can't claim to 60k to the max. The company will pro-rate. Anyone can advice. Is this market practise?
Warrior88 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2010 hi warrior88, just to confirm with you ..... means car+home about $100/year ? that is quite cheap ah ...... maybe the coverage not very good ..... is it ? No lah... depends on the value of your car and NCB. Assuming if car insurance is $700, just add another $80~100 for your home protection. Actually good deal if your company is paying your car insurance.
