If you need a completed model, there are a couple of model shops which have what you describe, here are a couple which come to mind (sorry, can't recall names of stores) :

Hobby shop - ground floor of hotel meridien;

Hobby shop - second floor of katong shopping centre;

Park Mall - first floor (from what i recall, can't miss the store, as it has a whole bunch of ship related furnishing accessories);
