sunnytan31 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2010 HELP HELP HELP!!!!! My reno going to start on very soon and what puzzled me was, I only got my 3D drawing on my kitchen only. Yes! ONLY Kitchen. So I called my ID and ask about the rest like Toilet, Living room and Wardrode. To my ultimate shocked of my life, they told me if the area does not have any caparenty works, no drawings will be provided. When asking about toilet, they told me even they draw out my tiles, we can see the tiles design and we only can see Black and White. I was like COWzzz... The reason why I didn't tender the full height shoe cabinet and TV console caparenty job to them is bcos they are charging me $220/sq ft, which D@MN ex! Far far beyond outside standard market rate. I even ask if we want them to draw out a proposed design on living room and etc, they say they are charging me $100 per drawing... Is there such thing? I thought as long as contact confirm, deopsit pay, they should be liabilty for the house design until handover? Hence seek for comments on this issue. Is it really true that no carpentry = no 3D? Mmm... I'm not sure. But for mine, id will give me 3d of toilets even though there's no carpentry. He said he would do up a design for the toilet based on tiles and show us. Is it really true that no carpentry = no 3D? this is the standard market practise that provide drawing only on carpentry view cause the designer want you to confirm colour and pattern before fabrication. i have seen one of the tiles shop providing free 3D to show different wall tiles you intent to select, and your designer is able to provide you Bath room drawing if you are doing certain pattern & vanity cabinet in bathroom, and they will not if there is only 4 walls. shoe cabinet & TV console range from $150 to $380pfr depending on material use, you may request the cheapest range i am sure your designer is able to design base on your budget. the 3D drawing range from FOC to $400 per drawing view, it really depend on the company charges, a $100 per drawing is quite standard price, you may ask for a FOC free hand drawing (NOT HAND SKETCH) i am very sure your designer is willing to provide you that service Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
