belquek 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2010 Hi people, I come across this blog on kitchen zones. It's quite useful to me when I plan my kitchen cabinets. Hope it helps you all too. From what I gather, these are some things that we will be having in the kitchen. Cooking zone Microwave, oven hob & hood slow cooker Non-consumables storage aluminum foil, cling wrap, tongs, tray, ladles extra plates, glasses & cutlery hardly used crockery & appliances (upper cabinets) Consumables storage dried foods canned foods Food preparation Coffee, tea, milo, sugar, coffee & tea bags, creamer, toaster, waffle maker, blender, mortar & pestle, juicer Cleaning zone Plates, mugs, pots, pans, kwalis, and other cookware. Larger utensils such as kwalis, pots and pans can be placed on the rack beneath the sink to dry and store after wash-up These zones are not clearly defined. You do what suits you. sunnytan31 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2010 Personally, I prefer "hidden" concrete support for Sink and Stove. I don't trust wooden support, especially for sink.
