Just brought a 8kg washer from samsung with 5 year extended warranty and <$1000. According to the sales person from the various shop. > 7.5kg is made in Korea, those below is made in china. I think it is recommended to buy extended warranty if the price it right. So far, the best price for extended warranty is best denki and Harvey Norman

So far, the best price for extended warranty is best denki and Harvey Norman yr pricing for a 8kg with extended warranty seems neat. I incline to choose a front loader too. reading up on samsung website, does yrs also feature the diamond drum? what is the rpm and can it be set differently for different fabric? any comments on brandt washing machine cause my ovens will be from Brandt, so wanna to streamline the brands in my house
cw_tey 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2010 (edited) yr pricing for a 8kg with extended warranty seems neat. I incline to choose a front loader too. reading up on samsung website, does yrs also feature the diamond drum? what is the rpm and can it be send differently for different fabric? any comments on brandt washing machine cause my ovens will be from Brandt, so wanna to streamline the brands in my house I think Samsung have only one model for 8kg front load. My theory is this. 1. should buy extended warranty if it is below <20%. as normal house appliance should last for 3-5 years. 2. i use a front load as i have a dryer 3. all those technical jargon function on the appliance have no meaning if we cannot verify it, so for laymen, I just go with the load amount 4. To save electricity, we should minimize the use of per wash, I think 8kg is require for me as i need a single load for the bed linen 5. I did not want to buy a washer and dryer as in the more electronic in a appliance the more problem will surface In summary, everything seem good now as it is still new, base on my experience, problem will happen year, so with extended warranty, i have peace of mind. Hope that all my personnel experience and theory can help you all I am a very practical person so i just target on my objective and cost. If $$ is not a problem or does not have to have the best cost efficient, then you can fulfill your individual good to have good to have wants. To me there is no meaning of having the same brand if they do not have a special function for it. If it is for the TV and DVD player then it is a different story as you can have the convinent using the same remote control. But Audiohse no extended warranty wor. I had ask the Audio house before on the extended warranty the salesman told me that they had it before. In other words, it is not a $$ making business. To me this is what you need to think 1. Do you mind to gamble on the probability of the machine go down after one year 2. What is the opportunity cause to estimated repair cost with respect on the extended warranty cost In summary, it is a short or long term gain thing Cheers

buttwiser 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2010 for washer and fridge i would prefer with extended warranty, although the warranty does not cover fully for the extended years but at least at a lower cost if repaired is needed. My existing washing machine already kenna once. Had to changed the circuit board. Luckily i took the extended warranty and was still in warranty. else either buy new one or pay repair cost ( althou was a normal LG top load washer)
ne0mesis 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2010 bro, u sure on the price? its a steal man! if i'm nt wrong, the offer is only applicable to the white model, they have a grey one (which i one) but dont think they offer tat pricing then.. slightly more exp

But Audiohse no extended warranty wor. salesman at audio house told me they are they only ones that buy back the free gift. wit regards to extended warranty, surprisingly he told me no point. he even commented tat is more like for the company to earn more cause logically such appliances hardly breakdown within the one or 2 years.
