ianmom 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2010 Hi, We need to update our current 128sqm EA with a budget of 30K. Not considering any ID since my renovation is mainly kitchen and toilet. Do you think is it possible to do the following as below:- 1. Dismantle existing kitchen cabinets and constructing new cabinets with soft-closing hinges and blum system. Corian Top with sink. 2. Kitchen door 3. Hack and re-tiles for both toilets. Replacing both toilet doors, glass shower screen and toilet bowl. 5. MBR toilet vanity area and small vanity area for common toilet 5. Build-in wardrobe /cabinet for MBR, 2 bedroom and study room. 6. Roller blinds for 3 rooms and curtain for living room. 7. L-Box (prefer LED lightnings) in living room. 8. Acid wash and grout touch-up between the ceramic floor. 9. Plaster living room wall for hanging picture 10. Painting walls and ceiling 11. Change all switches plate (Choo Chiang), might consider 1m eubiq for study room. 12. Installation of water heater. 13. Air-Conditioners installation Budget include things to buy 1. Fridge (Japan or Korea brand) 2. Dishwasher (optional, depend on budget) 3. Rinnai Hood and Wok (saw the package deal around 1.3k) 4. Build in Oven or Microwave steam Oven 5. System 3 Air-con inverter (Mitsubishi) 6. 4 Ceiling Lights and 3 Fan 7. Dryer (will consider city gas) 8. Gas Heater (will consider City gas) 9. Toilet sink and toilet bowl. Current items I already purchased/have. 1. Kitchen faucet. 2. Toilets tap & shower mixer. 3 Toilet accessories. 4. Living room furniture. 5. Bedroom furniture. 6. Washer
ianmom 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2010 any advice???
rossng 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2010 advice is if u r able to find a contractor to do as u mention within ur budget, looks very tight~
gimz63251073 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2010 i would say super duper tight. To be realistic: - scrape the blum hinges (anyone on a budget must first forget about blum. Erase the nice blum from your memory ) - scrape LED - forgo eubiq - forgo built in stuff like oven, dishwasher - forgo branded toilet bowl and sink - replace vanity area with ready made mirror cabinets - DIY curtains instead - wash grout yourself my questions: - why need to plaster wall to hang picture? plaster till so nice already, u go and it cover up with picture? - u only need 4 ceiling lights in your house? oh yes, do get a contractor instead. Coordinate yourself if you have the time.

Cheers;-)
