DarthRevan 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2010 (edited) Seal up all tiny gaps and holes with wall putty. I using this method. Every single holes and gaps also sealed. Ants also hide in cable trunking, so best to seal all holes in the trunking. At night, close all kitchen windows totally. No roaches! advanze 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2010 Hi to all those facing issue with insects in the house. You might want to consider installing magnetic insect screen on window grilles. It might not be able to prevent cockroaches at 100% as they might be coming out from rubbish chute, etc. There are few advantages. 1) Prevent flys, moquitoes, etc from coming in to your house. 2) You can still leave your windows opened for air ventilation. 3) Easy to clean. 4) Can help to filter some percentage of dust as well. Visit the website at http://www.advanze.com.sg.
calaislily 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2010 An effective and cheap method is to purchase star anise (Ba Qiao in Mandarin) from any good ol' Chinese medical shop. This is one of the spices used in 5-spice powder. Just leave them in your drawers, counter top... anyway you wish. I've been using it at home and found that it really keeps cockroaches away. Give it a try!
