i'm one of the silent readers here too and this is my 'first post'in this forum..

your flat looks really nice..simple and cosy... quite a reasonable renovation budget as well...we seem to have same taste :)

we have just bought a resale flat in sengkang but won't be getting keys until nov 2010. plus, owner requested to extend stay for another 30 days :o

hope i can start my own reno thread soon :)

Hi Mahjongace,

Hee thanks! for the carpet..we went to Jackson Design Hub at Tai Seng St. It's quite a big warehouse with a lot of carpets over there. Prices range from $80 - $250. (mine is a 2.3m by 1.6m for $190) which i think is quite a good buy for the quality. Cash/Nets and carry and they are only open on weekdays.

Do take note of their lunch time...coz we went there around 12.30...no one was around and we had to walk for 15mins to get to the nearest kopitiam to eat before we came back. =)

Hee...jiayou on your reno thread too. A lot of helpful people around here. Just search around this forum before purchasing any stuff or choosing ID if you are a layman like me. I search for all info on the internet before choosing my items but of course must be within budget..=P

haha good luck in getting your rug =) luckily we manage to find this place for rugs...if not, my 2nd choice would be the rugs from lorenzo price ranging from $400 and above...so to me, i find it very worth it for that piece of rug.

But come to think of it, i hope the carpet would not be torn apart by my baby crawling around pulling whatever she can...=P hope that the salesman's words are true...material is good and cannot be pulled out. =P
