mahjongace 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2010 (edited) Hi all, I've been a silent reader here since i got my keys in January 2010 for our very own flat that we waited for 3 years. I'm very impressed with most of the works here and hope that mine is good as well but on a tight budget though so i guess mine is a little simple. Anyway, would just like to share our reno progress here so that we can recap back the things we have done for our new flat. =) Our flat is still in the middle of renovation currently and we are still sourcing around for miscelleanous items. Attached is our Floor Plan for a start. More photos would be in soon. =) Edited May 11, 2010 by mahjongace

mahjongace 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2010 Naughty Bao Bao's Room: Mahjong Room: Common WC: At first, i am disappointed as everything looks small as compared to old 4-rm flats in matured estates. But my wife said cleaning would be easy and at least we still have our own flat. Next would be RENO in PROGRESS PHOTOS. Stay tuned!

mahjongace 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2010 Masonry works + tiling starts! cement & sand all over the living room. Service Yard base already done when i came to spot-check Finally we got to see some homogenous tiles we chose for the whole flat. Non-slip tiles we chose to prevent from slipping down as HDB built a STEEP slope at the main door.

mahjongace 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2010 Simple False Ceiling Design: Initially we didn't want any false ceiling at all to keep it simple but after our contractor told us that the main purpose is to hide all the ugly wirings and beautify a bit, we decided to go ahead with it. Anyway we just put a false ceiling around the dining area, nothing complicating. Here they are at their very initial stage. mahjongace 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2010 I never manage to take photos of the process of installation of the trunking for air-con but i guess my contractor did quite well to conceal the trunking. Below are the photos!
