Hey Gimz! Yes, have been living there the past wk, cable came in last sat, so am going over to my parent's place less now.. No lar.. brid cage permanent position not there.. will be in the LVR once I get my fake plants back.. Yes, sofa bed is gd! Very firm.. that was one of the reasons why I bought it. I don't like soft sofas or beds.. Bought the 3M s/s polish from homefix - works miracles! get rids of all my kitten paw marks in a jiffy..
curryqueen 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2010 I think Helping Hands lost 1 box of my kitchen stuff coz I can't find my metal plates for the cat food and some ikea things.. I called them and they said they don't have anything more from my side. I stand corrected... the things were found.. so they didn't lose any of my boxes at all.. Ho Bee gave me the final costing.... and I had a shock! It was additional $4K more than the original quote!! I'm looking through to see what additions there are.. and not a single freebie! I told him and told him that if it cost beyond the original quote, must tell me, then I won't do certain things.. now final bill come up, I have heart attack. I'm going to bargain! curryqueen 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2010 Thanks all for the compliments! Defuxto: It will be cheaper if you get frosted acrylic instead of polycarbonate. And mine is for both the MBR and BDRM2 door. If a sliding door is really what you want, go for it!! Sure to find something within your budget one!

curryqueen 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2010 (edited) hi curryqueen. i also have cats and having a headache to customise the window grills and gate. do you mind to share who is your supplier, and how much it cost? thanks so much! Hi Nitrolli, I used magnetic insect screen for my kitchen and MBR and I designed my main gate,LVR & BEDROOM 2 window grilles to be 2 inch wide instead of the usual 4 inch. For the 2 inch grilles, small kittens are still able to squeeze through. Moo (my black and white 4 mth old kitten) managed to squeeze himself through the main gate. Puck, my 7-mth old tabby, tried to squeeze through the main gate, got his head and body outside but his hind quarters got stuck inside.. It was rather funny seeing him trying to wriggle himself back in. Now, he just stays in and stares at the outside world longingly. So, if you don't intend to have any more kittens, and your cats are about a year old, 2 inch grille gates are fine. I made mine in powder-coated mild steel with F&A Aluminium. You can contact Henry. But warn you first, I wasn't very happy with them. I would encourage you to have EVERYTHING in email when you correspond with him (e.g. when you want him to deliver your gate and grilles, the design, allocation of space for flooring...) City Aluminium had also done some narrow window grilles for "cat-preventive measures" before too. Alex's contact is in the "window grilles" thread somewhere on R.T., and he has a blog in which you can see the pics of his work. For the magnetic insect screen, I called for quotes from Peace-on and Magnetic Screen. I used magnetic screen in the end ,but I think Peace-On ie also pretty ok. It's best you ask them to come to your place for a quote - coz for mine, the MBR is fixed, while the kitchen is sliding using the old window grille frame and each HDB unit has a different window size. dexufto 5 Report post Posted October 15, 2010 Thanks curryqueen, my reno just started and there's already incurring costs (to reconfigure the toliet piping, what to do when our 3-rms toliet so small). Will have to forgo the sliding door. Defuxto: It will be cheaper if you get frosted acrylic instead of polycarbonate. And mine is for both the MBR and BDRM2 door. If a sliding door is really what you want, go for it!! Sure to find something within your budget one! May i request for the cost and contact for the rollerblinds as well if you don't mind? Your kittens are really adorable, love the last pic with the side-by-side shoot gazing out at the corridor must be saying to the other, "Jiat lat, anymore fatter and I wouldn't be able to make it out of here'"

Deco at Tanjong Katong Complex Level 1 (near the door, opp supermarket). they were $%& expensive at $300 each. It has a bumper at the bottom so that you won't hear a clanging sound when the wind blows. The MBR roller blinds are from Ikea at $29. That reminds me.. I haven't put up the MBR photos yet! Will put up tonight.. Edited October 15, 2010 by curryqueen
