Hi, I need advice on wallpaper...currently the wallpaper for my master bedroom is turning yellowish..so what should i do with it, cos its making the whole room looks run down...can I tear away and repaint the walls?

Tearing down the old wallpaper is not a problem, but the things is you need to know what adhesve was used during the installation. Normally,the trouble is removing the adhesiver and paper residue left on the wall. Regardless if you want to wallpaer or paint over them, you need to do some preparation work on the wall.

Adhesive and paper bits left behind will look unsightly whether you paste over or paint over.

one of sis also had similar problems previously. she asked us for helped in tearing it away but we ended making a mess of it. in the end she had to call in the contractor to finish up the job.

be careful cos its quite a messy job in clearing off the bits & pieces though. cherio!

Agree with the bros here. Suggest you engage the pros to do it to save the hassle and the mess. Somemore you can ensure they do a gd job. if you do it yourself and do it wrongly. Not only you need to spend more effort/time, you need to spend more money too.
