samgalz 2 Report post Posted July 15, 2010 understood your concern, if that the case, then should go for cement/concrete structure, but did thot of having mixture of cement & plywood previously, but drop that idea. anyway, I used to have cement in my old flat. Hard chopping/hacking/butchering of raw food is never a problem, other then concern neighbor downstair might complain. Had not tried on my granite, anyway, not going to for a least this few months, just get ntuc to chop for me i did not have cement structure for my previous house and the upcoming one. My MIL also did not have cement structure. We chop chicken, everything and it still works fine after 6 yrs for me and 10 over yrs for hers. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
jackwan 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2011 Move-in Countdown - 5days Day 33 (Wednesday) - kitchen glass backsplash, lshape glass wall, mbr sink & tap installation, repaint main door & door grille Lot of major stuff settle today, so cant wait to move-in now, reno near 99% completion, with just blum divider & main door lock change tomorrow. wf did a wash today with water + vinegar as suggested by contractor. I did an experiment on removing paint smell using onion. Left slices of onion all over the house ... read from internet that it is effective, let's see whether it work. borrow a trolley from buddy, to move my precious item Read from some thread on hydroculture plant, so if got time this week, will go & purchase some from nearby flower shop. night photo ... wf forgot to bring camera in day time. Long awaited glass backsplash. Suppose to be installed 2 days ago but unfortunately glass break during processing.
