The Diary Of A Wimpy House Owner

Recommended Posts

pse don't start charging... you may have a mob coming after you for refund citing how in this world is there a short giraffe! haha

Short giraffe is rare..to boost tourism and to add fuel to the rocketing singapore economy, will only charge locals, free for big spending tourist (read suckers). Will also set up Anti Addiction (to rare animals) Association to help those who has a compulsive attraction to short giraffes. :)

are you silently stalking my blog? hahaha

****! I thought i was discreet! Stealth mission failed!

If you see the followings in my house, its purely coincidental: Fridge - Samsung RS21HNEPN, Rinnai RB-3CG / 2CG hob, Fujioh NL 900, Brandt FC842XS1 & ME630XE1, Samsung WD8804CJZ

:P Hee hee...

i reckon the next best word to describe a short giraffe is yeah.. she's cute. hahaha

Thank you. My cheeks are turning Green.....

oh pse pse pse pse.. go Panasonic V series. is the latest plasma 3D hdtv. for the ultimate black i tell you.

I have uneven vision, cant appreaciate 3D lah. I know its a pity, heard the 3D effects in Avatar was spectacular. Also one of my sons gets a headache watching Toy story3 3D. What is the next best plasma series from Panasonic?

if it helps to have your hubby's attention back, tell your hubby there's hearsay that the Megan Fox is a he.

he may not want to see Megan Fox looking for that cam shaft in the movie ever again. wahahahah

not that it matters, Fox is not going to be in Transformers 3.

I Love Megan Fox!!! Now that she is a HE. I have more reasons to love him/her! :good:

don't lie. 3 tvs sets cause you wanna them to read more Ebooks! hahaha

Gosh! Are you a psyche? Sorry, forgot you are Neo. Ebooks are a great invention and we have to move with the times. Hubby wanted to buy ipad as a present but told him to top up a bit more to get me a Bosch oven, nothing beats a yummy triple chocolate cake that melts in your mouth. Moreover, we have tons of books which we have not read and too sentimental to throw away. Sorry Steve, you have to wait hor.

haha, ur t-blog is very funny to read thru. :) ebooks are cool, but nothing beats having a solid book in ur hand and flipping the pages. :) however, at the rate my book collection is expanding, i'll have to switch to ebooks, keeping my fingers crossed that amazon will bring the Kindle to our shores soon!

i still prefer good old story books. agree, nothing beats the feeling of holding it in ur hands. i tried reading off the web once and deveoped a pounding headache after which made me swear off ebooks unless it's jus to read to prologue to make me gian enough to either get the book from the library, the Sans bookstore or good ol' popular/borders/kinokuniya.

wat's killing me in terms of storage space now is my comics. am running outta space for them :help:

V series still.

is the latest which also claim to be more energy saving when i checked out their trade show at vivo previously.

if am not wrong la, the 3D only happens if you want to. i.e u still can use it as normal plasma tv. is definitely nt in the price range of 50 inch samsung led 3d tv. so you may still consider

I Love Megan Fox!!! Now that she is a HE. I have more reasons to love him/her! :good:

Definitely going again this weekend to check out the rugs too. But minus the monkeys cos the zoo keeper is back. It was her off day last weekend and it was disastrous to bring untamed animals furniture shopping (luckily they are toilet trained, am not going to pay for 4 soiled sofas however cheap it might be).

The kartell Componibili (cabinet) is a classic especially if your house is a modern theme. They have white, red, black and silver. I bought 3 tall black ones ($148 each) and a short red one ($98 each) last friday for the kids rooms. Went home feeling happy and waiting for everyone to compliment me on my good taste and not forgetting a keen eye for bargain. Alas, the self importance was immediately brought down to earth when the boxes were opened.

"Why black mommy? we want RED! Black is ugly!" Shrieked the ungrateful bunch. So, is Red the new black now? So much for the generation gap.

no problem at all, it will be my pleasure to help you save money :D

i'm sure your contractor already told you that granite appears darker when wet. but if you're going for black granite, dark black is still black :D

both granite and marble are natural materials, so there is slight porosity. i wouldn't say it's difficult to maintain unless you own a white or very light coloured basin and tend to drop your lipstick often. from what i can see, your marble basin is very dark. so.. it should be fine.

can read more here

Thanks again, Ossify, for the wealth of information. Change of plans again. Will be using black glass instead of granite. Hopes it looks nice.

Was hesitant to start my t-blog initially cos i have no experience in renovation, no technical knowledge in appliances, no interest in wiring and no taste in general....in short, cant contribute much. Well its good to know that at least it is entertaining ;)

I love holding a real book too and have the same problem like you... running out of storage space. So we have instructed ID to build more storage. Told her we want something like the wardrobe in The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe.....can open the back of the wardrobe and store all our books, clothes, toys etc in someone else's backyard rent free. She said she will try. How sweet! :)

Here's a look at the secret storage under our dining bench. It will be covered with chengai wood strip. We have a similar one on the 2nd floor in the Master Bedroom.

We love to buy books too. Unfortunately for our pockets and storage space, we live 5 minutes away from expo. We have obtained VIP (very impatient people) status at all the book warehouse sales organised by Times/MPH/Borders/Popular etc. Yap, you have seen us before... first in line with our market trolleys before the doors open. Grab 574 books, find a corner, read half of them on the spot, chuck those above $5 and go home happily with the rest.

secret storage, nice. :) the dream bookshelf i wanted was those french/country type with a movable ladder (w wheels!), its been a dream since i first saw it in a cartoon when i was young. haha. since u staying in landed, u can consider those underground bunker like the bomb shelter at the beginning of The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe. ;)
