joseeng 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2010 So plant experts out there, what kind of plants should i get? am no plant expert to recommend any plants to you...only know there is this wellknown plant (Dillenia suffructicosa) which most guys will be well versed with during our ns days...perhaps you may also wanna consider getting plants which will not attract any stinging insects...i believe bro neo should have better suggestions in this area too... Zelly 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2010 Love the outdoor bathtub! Super nice to soak under the big blue sky, sipping wine and reading a book. But Singapore's weather is pretty freaky with rains and strong winds recently. Maybe having some bamboo blinds with pvc backing at the back of the treillis to allow enjoyment in bad weather. On good days the blinds can be pulled up for maximum view and enjoyment. Of course it will help to prevent the nosy neighbour peeping.
green giraffe 0 Report post Posted August 7, 2010 (edited) leechaorui : Will definitely consider the elephant climbers, suits my zoo theme. joseeng : Dillenia suffructicosa is popular with bees i read...hmmm.. maybe not such a good idea in the bathroom, would not want to be swarmed by bees or stung at the wrong places..oucheeee patsy : me cant wait for completion too. Hopefully, by end of this month. Timbuktu sounds exotic..I'm on. samgalz : hi super sam, you bounced back real fast. My turn to feel under the weather. How's your housewarming? Me very shy, so need lots of dense foliage to hide from prying eyes. However, hubby is a closet exhibitionist, have advised him to bath when there is strong wind blowing and plants swaying....hehe. zelly : actually hubby dont mind the peek-a-boos, will install chick blinds if neighbours cannot take it anymore and complain. To everyone : An invitation to bathe outdoors, candles and bath salt provided, wines BYO. Edited August 8, 2010 by green giraffe
green giraffe 0 Report post Posted August 7, 2010 If only walls can speak.... This feature wall at the staircase landing was painstakingly, skillfully and patiently done by one of the hardworking China workers over 2 days. It is cement made to look like bricks. He slowly carved out the rectangular shape one by one. ID was so impressed, she wants the rest of the feature brick walls to look like that. Windows at the staircase landing to let in light and air.
