samgalz 2 Report post Posted July 31, 2010 Its violin, my dear. On second thought, might hire samgalz instead....i'm sure she will be resourceful enough to find that mouthpiece. hey giraffe, i can do better than that. I can bring in a erhu (learnt that ages ago, am a bit rusty), a sheng (this one is a pro) and an amateur trianglist...though he will ting the triangle to death... ne0mesis 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2010 Have you tried those from Nile Valley? I know Thread count can be misleading sometimes cos it can be based on per 10cm sq or per sq inch. And most of the brands just state TC without stating the unit of measurement. For example saw a King Koi duvet set that states 550 TC and on closer inspection it says 550TC per 10cm sq and 300 TC per sq inch. Whatever it is 1000 TC still sounds luxurious. Cant wait to use my new bedsheets aiyah! i bought mine yesterday. so the standard reading ought to be per sq inch i suppose? i.e 1200 TC per sq inch Nile Valley 100% Egyptian Cotton to wrap a mummy I really hate to take all your money NeO. What is your wife gonna say if she finds out that she is not going to have her hansgrohe rainshower, blumotion drawers, brandt oven all because the short Kirin is an early riser and was already at the soccer pitch with 3 Saru before you made this post? *$%! you are right! They are @#$%* Gorgeous! To be honest, this zoo is quite challenged in the department of taste and even more challenged in the department of finance (dont even dare to make any bets be it Toto or chap ji kee, cannot afford to lose that last dollar lah). Thanks for sharing the expensive love. WAT! you are already there? you're really early bird i must say.. quick, auntiefy yourself - did you buy the bras? hahaha yes yes, Inax is expensive love. haha hey giraffe, i can do better than that. I can bring in a erhu (learnt that ages ago, am a bit rusty), a sheng (this one is a pro) and an amateur trianglist...though he will ting the triangle to death... ting? you mean you don't blow into the triangle? wahahaha. green giraffe 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2010 Sleeping on Tencel Its the weekend again! Onward we charge to another Industrial park. This time we ended up at Sungei Kadut for the King Koi Warehouse sale. Looking at the overwhelming turnout, we decided to strategise our beddings hunt. First, we check out things bought by other customers while walking into the warehouse. We came upon furniture on sale at the entrance of the building but we skipped that totally and moved on to our target, which is the Big Sale Tent. We did a quick walk around the humongous tent set up outside the building starting from the right most aisle glancing left and right and mentally taking note of prices. Next we moved on to the foyer of the building at level one which sells King Koi mattresses and beds. We were eyeing the 3-in-1 pull out trundle bed retailing at $999 for the kids but will leave that to the last. Level 5 Yes! the women folks have been vindicated. The good things are at level 5, after a long corridor, office cubicles, sofas, more (higher quality) beds and mattresses, we arrived at the end of the showroom to find high end stuff at a good discount. They have feather/down pillows, silk pillows and Tencel pillows all at $30 each. After testing the pillows, i had my eyes set on the Organic Tencel pillow made from wood pulp and is eco friendly and 100% biodegradeable (in other words, a politically correct pillow). Dont ask me why i need to sleep on a politically correct pillow but it sure feels soft and fluffy. Most importantly i was sold by the advertising text that says "......Organic tencel pillow is also super soft, strong and has its own unique moisture management system to ensure you an orgasmic .....i mean organic yet luxurious sleep all night long". Here's a link on What is Tencel Also bought micro-gel mattress topper s/s @ $70 and queen @ $100 ( Its a steal! actually bought same brand king topper@ $245 from robinsons' GSS ). Not forgetting "luxurious sleep all night long" Tencel King size quilt @ $190. Bought more stuff like bolsters, mattress protector, quilt for kids from the tent before heading home. For those who are interested, the sale is ending on Monday, 2 Aug. For the ladies, you know where to go. For the men, aim higher, dont get stuck at level 1 . hee hee

For the ladies, you know where to go. Yes the good stuff is at level 5, near the end before the lingerie section. We bought 4 tencel pillow, could have bought more for all the kids but already bought some micro-gel pillows at robinsons GSS costing $45 each. This warehouse sale is a better deal. Go for it man, if getting to Sungei Kadut is not much of a trouble. To reiterate my point, was at an atrium sale at Tampines Mall just now and guess what, King Koi micro-gel s/s topper was selling at $149. I bought for $70! at the warehouse. Like my husband says, retail business is a scam. Never buy retail price, even the so called SALE price is still being mark up 100%. hmm is this related to my joke? hahahaah Yup, that was a good joke. green giraffe 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2010 (edited) giraffe!! i also want to fight for a space on ur band alr. i can play the recorder!! Welcome to the band. We do have a slot cos we've just fired someone (no names mention, dont want to hurt his feelings lah) who can only play 1/3 of the recorder and cant find the mouthpiece of the triangle. Can you also do the Wonder Girls "Nobody" dance? Need tini pretty in pink backup dancers. Btw, my son has hijacked The Seven Ancient Wonders that i was reading. He loves the testerone charged, explosion packed, mind (or rather brain) blowing sequences. He said it was too violent for me, it should be rated NSFOFWFH (Not Suitable For Old Folks With Faint Heart). So he is going to read first and censor those parts that are not suitable for me. What a sweet boy! Edited August 2, 2010 by green giraffe

Been out of town so didn't even know about it until I read GG's blog! need 2 extra pillows for the guest room.... Psst... share a secret with you. I am tone deaf too. Attended 5 yrs of Yamaha Junior Music Class with 3 of my kids and still cant tell the difference between Do Mi So and Mi fa so. We actually need a manager. You are well traveled and connected so maybe can get us overseas gigs for a band with middle aged lead singer, under age keyboardist, amateur guitarist and drummer, tranglist who tings randomly, rusty erhu player and a tini recorder player. Sorry patsy, the King Koi sale was ended on Monday, 2 Aug. Will let you know if there are other bedding sale.
green giraffe 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2010 Alfresco Bathing Like every tourist that has stayed in a villa in Bali or Phuket, our dream is to have an outdoor bathroom. Soaking in the tub under the starry night and showering in the rain just bring back good memories of the relaxing happy vacation times. This is our attempt to create the Au Naturel dream. View from the backyard looking up to the master bathroom on the right and master bedroom on the left. View from master bathroom looking out. See the tiny bathtub, metal trellis and neighbour's house? Will have plants between bathtub and metal trellis. Need suggestions on the kinds of plants to use. Need something dense. Want to be considerate, dont want to be responsible for the drop in value of neighbour's house if wind is too strong and we are exposed in our Au naturel state. Skylight with frosted glass above WC area. So plant experts out there, what kind of plants should i get?

Hi Griaffe, I am not an expert in plant. You can consider the elephant climber (Argyreia Nervosa). This creeper plant has big leaves and purple flowers. Under the big leaves look silvery which gives your place a classy look when it climb up and around your trellis and provide cover for your restroom. This plant is quite hardy and easy to maintain. You only need to water it regularly.
