Florence A Province Of Italy Existing In The Heart Of Singapore

First of all, I have to thank Renotalk for having this forum to assist first timers like me in renovating our homes. Not forgetting the forumers i.e. SuperSimon, Nirvana, etc. who shared their renovating experiences, contacts and advices to all. Deeply appreciated!

My fiance and I bought a place last year and will be getting my keys end of the year I hope. Here are the items we wish to do. We are still deciding whether to go for ID or contractor. Hope to get some advice from you. By the way, how do I attach the floor plan here? Only URL link is accepted.

Look forward to see your design.

Thanks for your warm welcome, Supersimon and leechaorui! I am actually looking forward to my renovation soon...counting down now...206 days left... :P

Most likely we will go for contractors rather than IDs as the quotes I received recently really varies alot and not overhaul the entire unit.

Warm welcome to RT and congrats on your new home!

Thanks so much, flyingballons. Can't wait to TOP end of the year. :)

Just passed by the construction yesterday, all wrapped up in nets...can't see a thing :(

I was looking at your renovation quote and plans.

Electrical works cost can also be substantial ... Have you worked out how many lights and switches you are going to have ?

A. If I am going for downlights, I will need 23 for the living room, entrance pathway and outside the 3 bedrooms corridor.

B. 3 lights for the balcony

C. 3 lights for the toilets

D. 2 lights for the kitchen

E. 1 light for the yard

F. 3 lights for the bedrooms

G. 1 light for the dinning

As for switches, it's already provided by the development. Will go Malaysia (either JB or Ipoh) to buy lightings. Going to Hong Kong this weekend, hopefully can find something as well. Heard from my cousin who is staying there that household items, lightings, etc. are cheaper than Singapore.
