benlauhh 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2010 (edited) Hello! I've been cracking my head on this one. See, i've been trying to get the best of both worlds - using a nice digital switch for dimming and trying to use an energy efficient CFL. I'm using Clipsal Ulti dimmer which can be controlled via a RF remote. This obviously is a digital type of dimmer consisting of up/down buttons. I believe then that the dimming will come in steps. Now, i am uncertain if there are any CFLs out there which i can use with this switch, hopefully without a ballast. Any recommendations? stryke 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2010 megaman and philips both have dimmable CFLs. cost about 35 each bulb. but there are no downlight holders that can be fixed with those bulbs leh
benlauhh 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2010 Yep i know that only Philips and Megaman have them but they come in E27 screws and i've actually tried them on my downlight box to be suitable in fitting, but not quite ideal for dimming. E14 i think have also.
