Misc100 2 Report post Posted April 8, 2010 Are the day curtains really necessary? Most of the day, we are out in the office anyway, rite?

TYM 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2010 If nothing overlooking into your living room, probably not necsary. For bedrooms, some may prefer to sleep in total darkness, so may be necessary if you sleep during daytime.
Mr Anything 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2010 Basically its just for asthetic purpose... 2 layers of curtains looks a bit more grand...
DarthRevan 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2010 Day curtains are good for letting in a little bit of light into the room, or taking a nap. I prefer to have both, blackout for total darkness as well.
noobhouse 1 Report post Posted April 19, 2010 but when nighttime, ppl can see into your hall & lights are especially sensetive then how? then sometimes u just want to cuddle up or be more relaxed ppl go see, no privacy? then why have day curtain? i'm also considering day curtains in hall but now this thought set me thinking, cause it's like paying $ for transparent cloth? anyone can advise me? but then if do night curtain it'll add on to the cost. tcprincess75@hotmail.com 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2010 Day and Night curtains really make our house look grand, I will be doing one too as my house has west sun.....I went to my sis in law sister house, her Day and Night curtain so nice leh......she spent about $1,100 for her 4 room flat. I will get the quote for my 5 room soon....
alister 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2010 Yeah, I agree it makes the house look grand. Plus it shields off extra sunlight coming into the house that is too glaring. If no budget constraint, of course having day and night curtain for hall and master bedroom is great. If have budget constraint, then just put in day and night curtain for master bedroom. Then get the hall curtain railing up first. You can put up the the hall curtain later if needed. I have day and night curtain for hall and master bedroom but only use in the bedroom. I took down the night curtain in the hall and the day curtain is only for show. I don't have sunlight coming in to my hall as there is a shade just outside my window.
