joseeng 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2010 Wah, we chose the same lights ah... wahaha.. I bought from lightings.com.sg, would they provide such services? dun think they will assemble for you, all the downlights come in separate parts. The delivery guy is so chop chop tat i din even have time to do my stock check, he just put down all the stuffs and leave without much explanation and claim any issue just need to call them back. so when my lights are being installed, found out that they delivered short of 1 ballast, called them up and true enuff they even delivered the 1 ballast a couple of days later without any complaints... ...so to prevent any potential delay, at least ensure all parts are delivered before the lightings installation begins. jaskel 2 Report post Posted May 30, 2010 Boss, this is one of the laminates u've selected for the kitchen cabinet. Intention was to use the black laminate on the cabinet backing and white for all your doors and drawers. As your flooring and wall is dark grey and light grey, if the black laminate are used for too many area, it may make your kitchen area quite dark. U can also consider adding the black laminate on the doors but a few pcs only. Eg. as follow
jaskel 2 Report post Posted May 30, 2010 This is another laminate that u've chosen for the kitchen cabinet. My feel is if the doors and drawers were to choose a lighter tone will be better. Such as Ivory....but is still up to u which u prefer best, as individual taste and preference is different. Most importantly, u need to like it, love it, as u r staying in it. jaskel 2 Report post Posted May 31, 2010 Met jaskel and his partner today, suppose to discuss on colours selection for painting, but, we never did our homework.. Went up to our house to inspect first, and saw that jaskel was sweeping the MBR bathroom floor, getting ready for our inspection.. Pointed out wat we felt were some minor problem areas, like the living room floor was slightly too "tilted" and was told tat will tell tiler to rectify the prob.. New corridor windows had a bit of porb, which jaskel and partner will be getting the window installer to rectify too.. Hubby also asked for rectification on the living room floor tiles grouting, where some were too shallow.. Picture as seen below, dunno izzit we too fussy.. Other than those some minor problems, we were pretty satisfied with the workmenship. Next was the choosing of laminates for feature wall, tv console, wardrobe and kitchen cabinets. Took us approx 2 hours to decide! Luckily jaskel and partner was very patient, if not i think they will be vomitting blood.. Now waiting for jaskel to input the laminates we chose into the 3D pictures and see the effect before finalising the laminates.. Next week's schedule will be electrical works, gas piping works and water heater installation, first coat of painting and sealant, etc.. Plumbing works supposed to do too, but we have not bought the toilet accessories yet.. Today tiler came and will rectify the priblems in the living room. Also will be hacking away the skirting as I'm not satify with it. Don't worry about any extra cost for the tiles as I will paid for the workers mistakes. As for the grouting will be redoing for it. As for the windows, already found out what the problems, will solve it when the installer came, it was the locking hook issues. As everyone can see, even I'm not prefect, reno will sure have some hipcups here and there. We contractors just have to try our best to attend to the owners request. Thanx jaskel, for rectifying everything as soon as we bring to yr attention. That's very invaluable to us, as consumers.
