Went up today after work for a peak at the progress but was unable to see the common bathroom as the kitchen floor was wet, with wat we think is waterproofing and jaskel had sms us earlier to avoid gg into the kitchen and bathrooms.. Saw tat the MBR bathroom wall tiles is abt 1/3 way up le.. ;)

We use water level measurement and laser to check the walls...trying to make all the walls as striaght as possible.

Doesn't mean it will be hidden inside we can short cut it by not doing it. Its common to some that since the cabinet or box up will hide, they don't do it cos save some material cost to them. Quite often when I do other projects, after dismantle old kitchen cabinet (especial condo) there is no tiles at the back of the cabinet at all.

3 containers of waterproofing used for this reno....normally, others will not waterproofing the kitchen area less the piping discharge area. As I've often seen that the leakage of water from kitchen area happen mostly is the washing machine discharge area where there is no waterproofing on it. Learnt from others mistakes and improve myself on it. Although things may happen only on the later part of the owner life, but if we contractor was to put it into our shoe, we won't want that to happen to ourself also. Spending a bit more is worth it for the long run.

For those who think that the waterproofing is added with normal cement, then it is wrong concept. It got to be added with this...mixed together then use a roller to apply on the areas.
