Most of the reno firms will ask you for a 10% deposit once you are happy with their quotation and 3d and layout. Upon confirmation they will then normally next ask for 30-40% upon start of work, another 30-40% upon commencement of carpentry and finally 10-20% upon completion.

Payments should be made by cheque to the company as most of them do not accept credit card or nets due to the interest charges on these facilities.
