Reira 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2010 (edited) gim is this the FFM 4000 you are talking about? it can install light, the white FFM 4000 in the pic have light installed. Door - can i have the supplier's name as well? Thanks in advance! Windows - thanks for the name. will contact them as well! Door: thats great! then i dont need a fire rated door since mine is a corridor unit =) frame: i think there are rust or something. can they actually change out the metal part of the frame (in the middle where we close door)? i think that one is rusty as well. my hubby thougth since it is quite cheap, might as well do everything. but if they need me to go down to their office to make deposit before they come to measure, dont think i would engage them. inconvenient for me to go down! too far. gimz63251073 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2010 (edited) Hi Reira, The one i got was the black: FFM4000 GM, comes with a regulator, no lights and no remote. The white one looks a bit different, im not so sure that lights can be fitted on the black or not also. It costs like $80 for the remote. I figured that its not very worth it as the fan cost $118. Door contact: i PM u. They will advise u on the door frame as well. I know what you mean by the metal part, its for the door lock one right? That part they will make good for you...Mine is wooden door frame, so they like screw a piece of wood there to make up the hole. Your frame is metal? Maybe the door people can advise u... Edit: your inbox is full... Edited April 13, 2010 by gimz63251073

worldangel 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2010 Just found out that I need my window installer to come install my window for the toilet before tiling. What about rooms windows? *headache* Better get them to install the windows at one go....I think you need to install the windows before tiling can start. Also, do ask Patrick to let u know what needs to be done first...
gimz63251073 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2010 Just found out that I need my window installer to come install my window for the toilet before tiling. What about rooms windows? *headache* did they say why? i don't think its a must...its probably a good practice so that the window installers do less works? i may be wrong though... think about it, lets say the house you are living in now is already tiled, and therefore it doesn't make sense to me that you cannot change your windows or window grilles if it is a must that windows must be installed first. better to check with them the reason, or another way is to call other window makers to clarify (since u wld be asking them to quote u as well right?) Reira 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2010 wordangel yup, installation of windows must be done before tiling. but thats just for toilets windows. tiling starts next mon... =( headache... gim both my contractor and windows supplier say that =( windows supplier say can start tiling but must leave spaces so when taking out of old windows, wont risk the tiles getting damaged. Reira 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2010 (edited) Been busy these few days. Finally went to Poh Joo today and bought all the kitchen and toilet necessaries. Decided to let our contractor do the windows work since we are only changing bedroom 2 window grille, service yard windows, toilets windows. Too much headache for me to outsource for windows work as the MBR toilet window must be installed asap so that tiling can be done. Met up with our carpenter today. Finalised wardrobe and kitchen cabinets. No more changing for me haha! I was being real indecisive and can tell that Patrick is sick of it already. lol Hopefully the end product turns out ok. 16 April Hacking of toilets, kitchen tiles is done. 20 April - Cement screeding day Old common toilet door is sealed up. Kitchen entrance. Moved the entrance to the right so that it is not align with my main door. Fengshui master said "Qi" will flow out of the house and it is bad for us. Next 2 weeks, tiling.
