gimz63251073 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2010 where u got this rack? if paint white look nicer. oh, its just a pallet which i picked it up from a hdb block. was worried that the paint will not stick as the surface is rough, so if really want to paint, have to sand, primer and paint. very tiring... got other projects to do first... gimz63251073 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2010 coincidentally, baby's got FOC office chairs, also chrome so it "heng heng" matches... haha... Baby's project to change the seat covers to a less obiang colour. my job would be to clean up the chairs and spray lacquer. My project: we got a total of 6 chairs. - 2 chairs to put at dining table for daily use --> keep in chrome colour - 2 chairs to put in living room --> to paint it (colour undecided) - 2 chairs for common room, use as study area chair --> (paint yellow for me, paint pink for baby) ok, now for the pictures. we have sprayed 4 chairs - 2 dull black and 2 glossy white. Intend to wrap the black frame chair with orange cloth. we have done up the white framed chairs. A before and after look Two white side by side - baby refers to them as sisters. Closer look at the prints. (fabric from ikea, used 0.5metres) Last but not least, we finally have some storage space for clothes. Thinking back, we were a bit crazy to buy all these and lugged it back on an SBS bus!
curryqueen 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2010 (edited) Love the print! How many coats of spray paint per chair? Edited July 12, 2010 by curryqueen

gimz63251073 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2010 actually baby was the skilled sprayer for paint.. my spraying cannot make it... for white, had to do very thin layers. used up 2 cans of paint for 2 chairs. very pleased with the results... so the cost of the makeover is like $7 per chair! was telling baby we can spray one in bright pink and one in bright baby blue for use as study table chairs in the common room, but baby say cannot...too colourful le... we bought the cute prints a long time ago, till we even forgotten that we had those fabric...went back to ikea to see if they still sell this..but sadly no more le... yeap, we "overlay" the flower fabric over the original cover as the original cover was simply too hard to remove....too many staples... yeap the storage is for kids stuff, we find it very useful...one drawer for socks, one for tshirt, one for shorts...etc. Gotta label it 2, if not too hard to remember next time... gimz63251073 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2010 (edited) It has been another week of lazing around in the new house, did not get much things done except sleeping. Baby finally got her free induction hob, courtesy of Simply Her: My first time using an induction hob (except for steamboating outside), so this works well enough for us. We had an incredible amount of food, and a very satisfied tummy. Fixed up our clock - decision to buy made in 3 mins, since it matches and is on sale. Somemore its in ringgit! Fixed up our bedroom blinds: it was harder than it looked! Those walls are so hard to drill!! Plus, the standard size of 120cm could not fit (due to my mistake earlier on regarding air-con trunking). So had to cut to size... And not forgetting our living room...now no one peep through!!! Edited July 19, 2010 by gimz63251073

Finally another job done! Yay! Oh u r brilliant! I love ur birdcage light! did u fix the bulb into the cage urself? How issit done? easy?
