flashlight 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2010 Reason is because I don't have the luxury of 2-3 weeks to wait for the glue to dry before the polishing/varnishing. Working on a rather tight timeline. I've thought of laminate flooring, but I prefer the real wood feeling and don't really like the hollow sound that goes out from the laminate floor. Appreciate any inputs from any of you! Thanks. Hi, I think engineered wood could be the alternative. No acclimatization time needed, but you will need to have it glued down to have the solid feel.
flashlight 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2010 Thanks for the inputs given so far. I googled this up earlier and there is this thing called "floating parquet flooring" mentioned, which basically means that the installation is the same as click-lock mechanism that the laminate flooring used and does not require glue down. Has anyone heard of this before, and is this the same as the vinyl wood flooring that jaskel mentioned?
