Advise On Tv Console Design

Recommended Posts

The above has always been a big problem for me. I am planning for non floating console, maybe I could get some ideas from the fellow forum-ers for a practicle design?

1. LCD TV on base stand - no wall mounts as it tend to tilt forward & all the cables are behind

2. It needs to be airy for the following devices:

- 1. RECEIVER AMPLIFIER

- 2. DVD PLAYER

- 3. STARHUB SET-TOP BOX

- 4. PS3

My current design does not allow heat to escape & its a real concern too. All those mid hanging consoles are really nice to look at, but not practical. Only a HI-FI enthusiast will understand

then just use the standard open hi-fi rack, some comes with a vertical cabling "bar" at the back. though i prefer a horizontal one for each shelf so that can install power socket as well as for cable runs,

Do a google on "hi fi rack: and u can see many images

This one looks nice and open,

i like your wall feature bepgof, slick and clean, its interesting that you did not finish the console in a similar dark wenge like your pillars and do a suspended shelf console, as would have been natural...the teak look really classic tho! nice work :)
