Laminates

Hi, can any kind soul here advise if its very common that glossy laminates will tend to have the "wavy" effect? Other than wavy, my laminates also has the "dimple" on it... not one but its quite alot! And does solid surface top have joint? as in can see the joint line? Im getting so upset with my reno...

Not sure about laminate.

But solid surface definitely does NOT have any joint. Even an L-shape solid surface would not have any joint.
