Your quote looks quite standard amongst contractors and ID firms that I have come across.

Do insist on using premium paint (3 in 1 type) for item 26. They normally give you the cheapest or mid-range paint from Nippon or ICI. As it is almost $25K w/o electrical works, your contractor should oblige. The other thing is item 29, insist on a Maxden cockcroach-proof/odour-proof chute. What the contractor is giving you is just a SS chute. Cockcroaches and smell will come in. The Maxden chute plus labour usually costs $450. I know because I installed it in my home and my mother's.

I guess yours its a resale right? Hmm..I was quoted $23000 for the overhaul of two bathrooms, tv console in the living area, a 16 ft half height mirror, a sliding glass door to the kitchen, a featured wall and tv console in the MBR and plus the painting of the whole house. Thats really x. I din even go touch the kitchen at all. God..!

Nah..seriously i dun think i will. Some things are just out of range. I told my ID i have the budget of 15k. He came back with a 24k+..then we start to minus things then end up about 23k+..Upset..
