My personal favourite is Mega Discount Store - price as well as customer service. Find out the lowest offer and they will match it. I have once booked an item and then changed my mind, but they were quite pleasant about it. I bought my Brandt oven from them and they had told me before paying deposit that the shipment would be delayed, yet they kept calling me every few days to give me updates on the status of delivery. Very pleased to find this level of service. Gain City is also quite competitive in pricing and you can manage to get equally low prices. Have only bought my TV from them, so not much experience with their service. Harvey Norman and Best Denki are definitely pricier than these two stores, but sometimes you get good deals in display sets or limited sales. Courts is a definite no no. Have heard quite a few stories about their bad customer service and personally had a bad experience with them.

I purchased most of my appliances from United Square, but bought my built-in oven from Katong Mall. Liked service in both, but I felt that the salesperson who attended to us at Katong was more knowledgeable than the United Square one. The U Sq people were responsive, competant and open to bargaining, but the Katong person could discuss the technicalities of the oven (and even different dishes), so made me feel more confident. Katong will also be slightly cheaper ( 10 to 20 dollars, not much) than United Square, but they are more or less fixed in their quote, as its already quite low. Hope this helps.

I had visited Mega Store (Katong Mall), Audio House (Liang Court), Harvey Norman (North Pt), Courts (Causeway Pt).

In terms of customer service & pricing, I like Mega Store and Audio House ones. In the end, I ordered my appliances from Mega Store because it happened that the salesguy from Mega Store that handled us, was more knowledgeable of the products and answered our queries well. :) The appliances would be delivered to my new house this Sat.

Hi all, we just bought a tv & soundbar at the katong mall outlet. They will be relocating to leisure park kallang. Still some stock or display unit selling at attractive prices. We have gotten a 42" Philips TV at less than 1k! Heard that price at Katong Mall till end mar is still lower than their other outlets.

Happy Shopping!

I believe the Philips TV (I assume full-hd) is a promotion from the IT show before. I saw this at best denki before.

We bought a WM + Fridge from Best Denki.

Fridge - because we get an $200 voucher from NTUC if we bought with OCBC-Best Denki Card. That's a big "discount". Who will not use NTUC voucher anyway? Beside the price is "only" $50 more expensive than goh ah bee. If we calculate with the voucher, it's the cheapest in whole singapore.

WM - It's $50 more expensive than Goh Ah Be but we do get $50 Takashimaya voucher. And, we might as well combine it to save the hassle of coordinating the delivery + installation.
