Feature Wall With Cove Lighting Design

I'd like to seek some help in designing a feature wall that comes with white stripes that comes with cove lighting. The following is the design that I have in mind.

I'm worried that it may not turn out to the way I want it to be. Would appreciate it anyone out there can give me some advise as in how thick the feature wall has to be and whether there is a need to have LED lights along each side of the white stripes

im no ID. and from what i heard from IDs... the minimum thickness for ceilings with cove light/down light is 6". so im assuming the same applies to walls?
