Low's Hotel In Amk

Recommended Posts

Ah... AFC, maybe just buy and cook straight away? I like to bake, so i hope to have a pantry room like those chef, to stock all the dried stuff. But... no hope. :D so i hope to have a long drawer cabinet, pull out can see all dried foodstuff.

My dried stuff like ikan bilis, dried chilli, dried scallops, dried oysters etc are kept in containers in the fridge. Actually so is my tea, and herbs. Singapore is so damp and hot, most of my herbs cannot last long except pepper. It helps to keep things longer.

We divide out the place, kitchen is my area, study room and hall is his. MBR and gals room we share share and decide. Also consulted my elder gal in her room and the common toilet. So the common toilet is all for my 2 gals. Pink pink and bling bling and flowery.

My hubby let me decide all the rooms, we have purple room 2, yellow room 3, warm neutral mbr and black and white living/dining. All different concept but he has the last say if he likes or dun like. I usually research and give him a few choices i like in of an item and he will okie or nay the item. He will proceed to follow up on the purchase and delivery.

hi ladies

what allowance do you normally leave for fridge? Right now mine is about 600mm width, but dunno how long this fridge is going to last us. And like what most of you said, bettr give an allowance in case upgrade in future. Problem is, there are so many in the market, a bit hard to determine what kind of size i may want in future??

if too little, next time not enough to upgrade? If give too much allowance, means got to sacrfice cabinet size. Dilemma ...

Another thing - do you build top hung cabinet on top of fridge? Is it useful? Bc that might affect height of fridge to upgrade in future too.

My 2 boys have their own room and in the reno process, I let them choose their own room colour...

The elder one wants BLACK for all walls... all furniture and practically everything.

Okie, parental VETO kicks in :)

I think mine has top hung cabinet, can utilise space. But mayb can check whether is it easy to remove in future to make way for taller fridge.

Id told us that all wall tiles in the 2 toilets and kitchen are completed, can go take a look. We were there almost 5 in the evening and only 2 workers ard. One was doing the rubbish chute area, and my chunky, rusty pipe is gone! First time i am able to appreciate the pvc pipe. :D

As our dining table will be in the kitchen, id suggested doing a 'feature' wall at that area. Actually just using a different tile at that part to make it different. The tile wasnt cheap, if i didnt remember wrongly was more than $10 instead of the usual $3. Luckily we only need small amt so we didnt have to top up. So here is the final result ...

Now to the common toilet. This toilet would be used mainly by my gals. So we let my gal decide what she want. PINK! So here goes pink mosaic for the shower area, only a vertical strip again. The other surrounding tiles will be light cream in colour with flower prints.

As for MBR toilet, we also had mosaic, more to greenish tone. The surrounding tiles are the same as kitchen but placed horizontally. Not completed yet. Flooring is black with tinge of glitter.
