gals_mama 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2010 Hi all, actually have been to renotalk for quite sometime but just discovered this little heaven. So much discussion and useful info here. Every nite i have been sleeping later and later, just to read the posts and admiring all ur nice renovated house. We have just got our 2nd house, a 4 room at AMK. And this is after we have stayed in our 1st house for 10 years and also with my 2 gals. First i must explain my title. It was actually my elder gal's idea of her new home concept. She says that the new home must be renovated to look like hotel Whenever we go for holidays or staycation in Singapore she will says that she loves the hotel room. I think is the carpet, air con, curtains and toilets that has the feel. First appt will be in early apr and we plan to shift in at end of june. So far only approach 1 ID, Rezt & Relax. Any1 use them before? We just want to see see look look ard so that it would be too rush later. We went furniture mall, wanted to look at sofas but was disappointed. All didnt give us the 'feel' and also not comfy enough. But we did manage to test simmons and sealy beds. Should be getting simmons cos i didnt feel the movement when my husband roll next to me. No motion sickness. gals_mama 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2010 From the last time i posted, only seen 2 ids and still reading the forum diligently every nite. 1 of the id has good ideas but got a bad review abt the id from this forum. Thou she has some nice ideas and lowest quote, she was a little late in giving us the layout plan. Another was worse, no sound no pic til many days later. I didnt even return call since was he was LATE in drawing out the quotes! We didnt rush him but he was the 1 who kept repeatedly saying that he will sure give on that day. The first id we saw so far still ok. Been smsing me to see when can meet up, mayb now off-peak for reno so need my business. Quote still the highest so far. We also going to call the famous contractor, Mr Henry to get a quote. I tot at least try and see how is the pricing. BTW any1 else engage 1 inch sq feet before? Seen 1 inch sq ft, quote lowest but got both bad and ok reviews on them. Urs is id or contractor? Never thought that renovating can be so frustrating and tiring. gals_mama 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2010 Waited and waited... Finally went for the sale of my hse 1st appt. It was done in abt an hour. Then 2nd appt will be in late May. Plus the extension given by buyer, we have till 11th Jul then handover my key. However today we calculated that my 2nd appt for the purchase of the new hse will be late June. That means i only have abt 2 weeks to reno? How is it possible? Discussed with my husband, we only want to move in when everything is done up nicely. And very confusing for reno newbies like me same here, want to commit but also scare that what if the id screw up and not forgetting the cost too.
