forgotten 1 Report post Posted October 2, 2010 (edited) I used Spin powder (3/4 to 1 big cup for full load) and had no problem with water & soapy foam spilling out from the pipe-end. But recently, I switched to yellow Top powder (after reading in RT that it's great for indoor drying). Many times, for the same load as b4, i used 3/4 to 1 full scoop (provided by Top) and soapy foam & water will spill from the pipe-end Oh yes, I wash my blankets & bedsheets using Fuzzy mode. I used 4 detergents before I got to find one that can effectively eliminate the strong perspire smell on my hubby's clothes. I also hang and dry all clothes indoor as my area rains daily. My detergent - UIC concentrated liquid detergent I kiapo went to check on the brands of my tenants' detergents in the kitchen 1 of them also used TOP powder like you but no foam popping out from my pipe leh. booksntoys 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2010 Seriously, noone will go read and remember every line on the manual. I didn't know about this until you posted about it. How about using boiling hot water to soften and dissolve it? I know hot water can disolve detergent residue well. I use liquid detergent. My tenants use powder detergent. Luckily they use Fuzzy mode. I ever tried blanket mode with concentrated liquid detergent, it was ok. I used Spin powder (3/4 to 1 big cup for full load) and had no problem with water & soapy foam spilling out from the pipe-end. therat 18 Report post Posted October 2, 2010 Yeah! it is hardened. Don't think can use thinner as it stick on the plastic part. My fault. This morning wash my blanket, bedsheet, etc. Use the blanket program. The manual did mention use dilute liquid detergent. Do not use powdered detergent which is difficult to dissolve in water. I'm using powder all along for FUZZY course. So.. I thought should not be a problem for Blanket course. Haha.. who know.. this will happen. The manual should wrote "MUST NOT USE" mah sigh! forgotten 1 Report post Posted October 2, 2010 Oh yah, what detergent are you using? My recent headache was seeing a crackline appearing on my kitchen ceiling (spalling concrete) yest.
forgotten 1 Report post Posted October 2, 2010 (edited) any idea how to remove it.. headache Poor therat... Have you tried using concentrated bleach to remove it? Has it hardened? If it's too hard, may have to use scraper first, follow by thinner (for removing paint). Please use glove to protect your hand, cloth to slowly soak up the thinner, and apply cloth to that residue on washer. At home, I use nail polish remover and thinner on residues and stains when bleach fails. Edited October 2, 2010 by forgotten

forgotten 1 Report post Posted October 2, 2010 The Hitachi's serviceman came. Apparently the motor blade was spoilt - a very rare problem, according to him. I asked 'bt the yellow circle to which he said it's actually quite 'useless' cos it's not accurate, since the tub is always swinging around & not exactly in the centre. We're still under the warranty so it's FOC. It's great that your washer issue is solved now

yewmun@yahoo.com 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2010 hee... hee paiseh hor, I was the one who started this thread back in 5 Mar 2010 and now I still haven't decided which brand of washing machine to buy. Heng ah I din get Hitachi after so many of you all say got the "kong kong" noise. Now it seems I am down to 2 brands that I am shortlisting - Toshiba AW-D980SS & Panasonic NA-FS90X. Wondering which one is better? Anyone used any of these 2 washing machines before? : )
therat 18 Report post Posted September 22, 2010 I see a bubble? it's at the side of the red circle. There's another smaller circle in the middle of the red circle. But it doesn't move. The bubble seems to be "bouncing" or "movable". So that's the problem? I remember when I read the manual. It mention the bubble must be within the smaller circle. Or else the washing machine tub might sth wrong. I don't remember the detail and don't have the manual with me now. You go home and check the manual. U should have the rubber stand. Use that to alight your washing machine. When the guys come down and install the WM, they didn't level your WM? booksntoys 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2010 you can do online registration http://onlinewarranty.hitachiconsumer.com/default.aspx As long as you had the receipt, I think the warranty still valid. Is your washing machine place in level. look at the yellow circle. Is the round fall inside the centre circle. I see a bubble? it's at the side of the red circle.
