Hi

Also want to check with you people. what is your acceptable standard for carpentry? as long as there is no scratches externally? what happens if the shelves are not perfect ard the edges or door surface is uneven on the inside? do you still ask the contractor to change for you?

maybe a more general qn..what do you people look for for the final touch up to be done by the contractor before they hand over the flat to you?

Yup, I also face the same problem and agree that the MacDonald delivery bikes are the main culprits. I am quite sure they have illegally modified their exhausts to give the loud irritating roar. If there are enough of us, we should perhaps write a joint letter to McDonalds for action to be taken - failing which, we will escalate the matter to the relevant authorities. I mean, it is only fair that we give them a chance since this also concerns their rice bowls... 8|

Aiyoh, talking about the Mac Delivery Guys.

I am currently staying with my mum at Blk 183 (the block behind Kfc, facing the mult-storey carpark in TPY Central). The MAc Del guys not only make the loud noises when travelling on the roads, they tend to love to ramm their engines when they are at the carpark as well! Furthermore, they love to have their "friends" gathering at the carpark and make lots of noises. Very much like gangsters. :P

And you guys know what, there was once we gave them a disgusted look when we parked our car after coming home from a midnight movie coz they were really noisy. A few mornings later, there was this deep scratch mark on our car.... :yamseng: We made a police report, but nothing much done anyway.... From then on, don't really dare to offend them coz they know where we live.:lol:

So I hope if we do write a petition to Macdonald's, they will do something about these 'gangsters' :notti:

I would say LOOK, FEEL and TOUCH.

If one of the above isn't right for you, sound it out to your contractor. Don't worry about any backlash as long as you have not made the full payment.

hmm, i'll check it out soon.

would be nice if anyone also has recommendations for gym equipment for home, brand new or 2nd hand also can.

we're looking for firstly a treadmill and secondly a multi-station machine.

Me and hubby were looking at putting a pool table in the house so came across this guy who does wholesale for pool table (limited choice) but quite a good range of gym equipment.

Went to the showroom and took a quite glance 2 days back and the price seems quite reasonable :notti:

Here's the contact:

Poolworld Entertainment

http://www.poolworld.org/

We spoke to Ron, he seems quite an ok guy, and patient to walk us through the limitation of having a 9 ft table in the dining room, and the cost of adding a convertable table top.

Still thinking about it though... :jawdrop: but hubby is a pool fanatic... keke

This is a question which I want to ask too, any people can advise?

Just another question to ask, those who made feature wall on bomb shelter, the tictac door especially, do you all have a straight (wood) door or a slightly slanted (wood) door?

My ID said it is normal to be slightly slanted but my father don't believe. Anybody here can advise?

Cool, i kinda like the 6" folderable pool table with the option of table top.

can be used as normal study table for common room and also for some

pool session~~ but the cost will total up to 800++.

The 5ft one only cost 300+.. :good:

Yes, interest wise RHB is better.

But to me, DBS can be found almost everywhere and I myself am a DBS account holder so I prefer DBS as there's no need to open another bank account with another bank just to facilitate the loan.

Ultimately, it would be good for you to talk to both banks to know more about their loan. :notti:

Hi, you guys might want to consider checking the rates from Hitachi Credit cos it is 5%p.a

Are you using the mirror for decorative purposes or for viewing yourself?

If it's for decorative purpose, I would recommend you to IKEA as they got quite a few nice designs for wall mirrors.

I have clear mirrors installed both at the dining area and the balcony area. Total cost is $600, if it is just the dining area I suppose it should be just around $400 to $500. The mirrors are among the best decisions ever made for my home reno!

Thanks euph0bear,

I had already checked with IKEA, but their mirror does not come in full height.

I was hoping to add a 'virtual space' to the dinner area to look bigger. :dunno:
