Toa Payoh Blk 79 Kakis

Recommended Posts

hello everyone. my name is alvin. i'm sorry for just barging in on your conversation like this but was wondering if you all can help me with a few queries. me and my fiancee are BIG fans of Toa Payoh Blk 79, our appt with HDB is on 26 March (in 7 working days time) and currently there're only 59 units left:

1) personally, what do you think are our chances of getting a flat? Be brutally honest okay. Oh, I fall under the 'Others' category for race, if you're wondering.

2) also, is there any block and floor, which you think are better choices?

Many thanks for your help.

Dear all

I finally collected my keys!!!! :D

However, got some questions hope you all can help me.

I was given an "Application for Interbank GIRO" form under Pasir Ris-Punggol Town council to fill up. Is this correct? Thought we are supposed to be Bishan-Toa Payoh? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Another thing, I didn't bring my son's birth cert when I collected my keys. Thus, I didn't update his particulars. Is this ok? Is it a must to update?

TIA!!!

Congratulations, tris28.

I think the Interbank Giro form should be incorrect. I don't think that the banking details for Pasir Ris-Punggol Town Council is the same as Toa Payoh-Bishan Town Council. Better to call them up to doublecheck.

Actually on the day of collection of keys, you don't have to bring any minor documents. Just your own NRIC is enough. :D

Hi, alvin.

Getting a flat in an hot area all depends on luck actually. Some never get it while others one time ballot will get it one.

And if you're a big fan of Toa Payoh, I don't think the block and floor number should be of any concern at all.

No problem, glenn. Derek told me about you too.

Actually, if you're really interested in getting him as your ID, you can actually ask him to start work 1st (after checking the defects of course) instead of waiting.

Already 2nd week into my renovations and I haven't pay him yet. I told him I'm waiting for my pay+bonus and renovation loan and he said no problem. Really a friendly guy. :o

Oh yah... Did I mentioned that the stuff that I bought so far from Luxury Bath Studio, the discounts were due to him too.

I think RHB and OCBC offers the lowest rate of 6.25% at the moment. But you got to double check as different income may get different interest rate. I tried getting a full loan from OCBC but rejected. Now I trying to get DBS at a lower of 60% of my renovation. Although DBS's interest is 7.8%, I prefer them as I already have a POSB account and they can debit straight from there. Hopefully can get. :P

If you intend to get a new toilet bowl, the fees incurred will be dismantling of old toilet bowl, buying of new toilet bowl and installing of new toilet bowl. Maybe dismantling and installing together at most $300. Price of toilet bowl of course differs by brand and design.

hey all,

may i ask if a $300 for a 2 bowl sink is expensive? (excluding tap but has a soap dispenser)

depending on design, size and material. Hard to say expensive or not.

Thank you for the info :sport-smiley-003:!

Can roughly calculate how much is the interest payable per annum if were to take up rhb compared to DBS??

Never mind if too troublesome, just trying to find ourt more...

Thanks

glenn

Hi Alvin

I just went to check on the website for flats left in the selection exercise. Looks like there's still quite a number of 4rm flats available. :( I think you should stand a pretty good chance if you are not very particular on the floor level that the flat is located in. :(

In terms of which block, having been to so many neighbour's flats, I feel that all 5 blocks are great to live in. :( Each has got its pros and cons but regardless of which block you choose to stay in, I'm sure you will appreciate it for its centralised location and proximity to so many shops and services. :sport-smiley-003:

Hope to see you and your wife joining us as TPY Blk 79ers soon! :~:(
