Hmm... not to sure abt whether its the blum drawers/ just the runners. Will chk with ID again.... (^_^)

Hey zanie98,

how reno status?

Wat u'd been quoted shd b jus e runners only.

Fyi, normally, the drawers is made of solid plywood, white pvc finish internally, laminate finish externally, ABS trimming at 4-sides of cabinet door, alum recessed handle or 'designers' handle.

To mi, i find $50 for a complete drawer is cheap? :notti:

Out of the main topic. Anyone here pay haulage direct to town council?

My ID said is $750 for 4-rm here since we do not hack anything.

Hey vowsh,

read thru e past few pages. There's a discussion on e haulage thingy.

4rm-$800-$900

5rm-$1000

-) Both payable to e term-contractor who sub e whole haulage contract for blk 79.

-) Town council fees is another sum (<$200), w or w/o hacking, b'cos TC provided e debis collection tank oleady. See whether izit include in your quotation from ID.

Correct mi if i'm wrong.

:bangwall:

Hi Jacky

Reno Status is stuck and left hanging coz we couldn't agree with the electrician's quote. Its really quite ex. came up to $2.3k for my flat!:thumbs up:! And it only involves adding some points and shifting some points....

I think the $50/drawer is in addition to what I'm supposed to be paying for my kitchen cabinets and drawers... So if its an additional $50 for a set of blum hinges, issit expensive? :bangwall:

how many lighting points do you have?

will be good if you list out the details of the $2.3k.

How much do they charge you for the hood and hoob point?

Hi, a fast reply,

my lighting point charge is $30 each ($5 cheaper)

but my light installation is $15 each ($5 more expensive)

Hood and hob point is $120...($30 more expensive)

I think they put some price lower, some higher, end up we still pay quite a hefty sum.

if you find your quote too expensive, try negotiating a lower price with ur ID, if cannot,

then engage another electrician, you can browse through the electrical forum for some electricians which forumers have used.

The prices quoted to us are mark-up + mark-up.. if your ID can lower his commission,

then win-win situation for both.

u have 33 lights?? HmmMMm...y so many?

Hmmmm.... 33 includes all the downlights + flourescent tubes (for cove lights).

I do not have a hood. I only have a hob, so tt explains the $30 difference?

I don't think there's a chance of this electrician lowering his quote or ID lowering his comission. We're looking for another electrician to quote us. Hope can get a cheaper quote and hopefully my ID will be able to work with him. (^_^)

like to ask those who already started staying in the new house.

how is the tv reception from the connection of the tv point provided?

mine is very snowy and double image.

cant find channel u and cna .

is it because the buliding scv point is not fully set up yet ?

thanks for replying.

cheers

just saw in scv site.

only blk B scv and modem service is not ready.

A,C,D and E is ready.

thus i assume those already staying in C,D and E should not experience the same problem as i have.

more and more people moved in...can't wait for my turn....

just confirmed my id and went to select tiles yesterday...so many tiles, see until blur...but all looked the same though...went Indulge to see see look look also...

seriously, although we haven't gotten the keys, i realized that sourcing around early really helps alot...can compare pricing and slowly choose...and sometimes, when disagreement happens, we can still take time to discuss and think over slowly...hopefully, the process will be more of enjoyable lah...

btw, we've just sent back the loan application...now is the waiting again....

and i saw the coffeeshop below 79E is undergoing reno now...please have football channel...

:)
